About Boyd Family Farms
I would like to introduce Boyd Family Farms, located in Sherwood, Oregon. We raise ADGA-registered LaMancha, Saanen, and LaMancha experimental dairy goats, as well as a variety of laying chickens and ducks.
Our family has deep roots in agriculture. I grew up fifth-generation on a wheat farm raising various livestock, received my first dairy goat in 1983, and have a background in nursing. Kayla was raised here around livestock, participated in 4-H and FFA, and now teaches dairy goat showmanship clinics and judges at local fairs. She also graduated with a nursing degree in 2024.
In our breeding program, we focus on producing hearty, easy-to-handle dairy goats that excel in extended milk production, with most of our first fresheners milked through for two years. We participate in DHIA, Linear Appraisal, and ADGA Plus. Our entire adult herd is DNA tested for parentage and alpha S1 casein. Additionally, we maintain a strong herd health standard, rarely requiring de-worming, and we strictly cull for health, temperament, and production issues.
We are always working to improve our herd and look forward to participating in local ADGA dairy goat shows. Please let us know if you would like more information about our farm or our available stock.
Best regards,
Cindy Boyd
